Thinking about including more plants in your diet?
(or maybe making it entirely plant-based!)
Here are some resources we’ve found helpful.
People often ask us: "Why go plant-based? For the environment, animal welfare, or your own health?”
Our favorite part of answering that question is saying “all of the above!” What other diet can do that?
Deciding to include more plants in your diet is choosing to be mindful about our planet’s health, the wellbeing of animals, and your own health. Adopting a more plant-based diet can reduce your risk for today’s most common diseases and in some cases - even reverse them. Choosing to not eat meat means not partaking in the killing of over 22 million animals that are slaughtered EVERY DAY for food. Reducing your meat and dairy consumption changes the demand for animal product, eliminating the need for environmentally destructive practices like mass deforestation, ocean floor trawling, and overconsumption of fresh water. The list goes on & on.
But don’t take our word for it! Below are some of our favorite resources where you can learn about how to properly start a plant-based diet and why it’s important. We hope to create a space where we can gather to talk openly & honestly about our food system, and where anyone feels they can ask questions. No judgement, ever.
